SYNOPSIS

In this farce turned dramedy, six unsuspecting guests arrive at a dinner party in a private room in a very swank restaurant in Paris. As they arrive, one at a time, they realize they are three divorced couples. Five of them believe this was all arranged by a highly regarded divorce lawyer who represented one of them in each of their divorces. After the shock wears off, they begin to analyze and emotionally process their past marriages. The show ends on a more upbeat, positive spin on breakups and the meaning of relationships.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

Claude Pichon: an aspiring writer who owns a bookstore, he is a fairly serious character who plays straight man to Albert’s humor.
Albert Donay: (youngish, possibly) a salesman with dry wit, this is a comedic character role.
Andre Bouville: (possibly older) a men’s clothier, he is rich and confident almost to the point of arrogance, with a very sarcastic wit.
Marietta Levieux: (Claude’s ex) she is attractive; a strong and sarcastic personality.
Yvonne Fouchet: (Albert’s ex) pretty but not too stylish, very sincere, but her hurt from the past has made her unsure of herself.
Gabrielle Buonocelli: (Andre’s ex) elegant and commanding, she is actually the person who organized the whole thing.
